EFFEMINATES

in an attempt to educate Appalachia about queer life, Effeminates was created to start a conversation about the complexity of our LGBTQ+ community. by sharing the stories of four different individuals, the film centers around one of the biggest obstacles LGBTQ+ Appalachians face - coming out.

an observational documentary experiment, 02/20/2018: Being Normal invites viewers to join two friends as they discuss the struggles encountered while finding a place in society. the video is meant to create an intimate moment as viewers get the chance to see the world through our eyes. pauses within the video represent our most vulnerable thoughts.
